On 16 December, the winners of the annual contest “Lithuanian Product of the Year” organised by the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists (LPK) were announced for the 25th time. In the 25th anniversary competition, 53 companies from 24 economic branches of the country were nominated for the awards in 15 categories. As every year, the leading positions were maintained by the food industry companies – 43 applications were received.
Summarising the expert conclusions, a panel of experts representing various industries and businesses awarded 61 gold and 10 silver medals. According to the LPK President Vidmantas Janulevičius, the achievements of companies in Lithuania and worldwide even in such a difficult period show that we will be able to overcome the challenges by using our innovation.
“The achievements of the companies show that we have a great export potential. They carry an important message – although we are small, we are innovative, and are able to produce products and services of exceptional quality that are recognised outside of Lithuania. We have something to be proud of – not only the history and rich past of our country, but also of what we are creating now,” said V. Janulevičius.
The main goal of the contest “Lithuanian Products of the Year” is to enhance competitiveness of top quality Lithuanian products, present and stabilise the position of the country’s produce, goods and services on the local and international markets, and promote high quality Lithuanian goods thereby ensuring development of the Lithuanian business sector.
We are happy and proud: our team was awarded the gold medal in the Lithuanian Product of the Year contest for our Banana Pancake Sauce and a silver medal for Nacho Style Cheese Dip.
